SAHANIVASASAHANIVASA

SAHANIVASA has been working in India since 1985, increasing the scope of the issues its projects have addressed over time. To date, they have worked in community mobilization, caste and gender rights issues, cultural action, leadership training, legal education, income generation, natural resource management and agriculture. The organization considers all aspects of the living situations of the groups it works with, touching on the various factors that contribute to poverty and oppression. SAHANIVASA’s approach is therefore holistic, as it aims to create sustainable change in the abilities of participants, especially women, as well as within the systems that surround them.
